The Four Living Creatures

Illustration of The Four Living Creatures

In Revelation, four living creatures surround the throne of God - resembling a lion, an ox, a man, and an eagle - each full of eyes and with six wings, ceaselessly declaring God's holiness. Echoing Ezekiel's earlier vision, they lead the worship of heaven day and night. They represent the whole of creation offering worship before the throne.
