Guardian Angels
Scripture teaches that God commissions angels to protect and serve his people. 'He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways,' says Psalm 91, and 'the angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him.' Jesus warned, 'Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father.' Hebrews calls angels 'ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation.' Whether each believer has one assigned guardian angel is not stated directly, and Christians have held different views; what is clear is that God's care includes the unseen help of his angels.
