Portrait of Nahor

Nahor was the son of Serug and the grandfather of Abraham, part of the genealogy of Genesis 11 that traces the line from Shem to Terah. He fathered Terah at 29 and lived 119 years afterward. He shares his name with Abraham's brother, Terah's son Nahor, who is a separate person one generation later.
