The Tree of Life
In the first garden, a tree of life stood at the center. Sin cut humanity off from it. In the last chapter of Revelation, the tree appears again - its leaves for the healing of the nations.
In the garden of Eden the tree of life stood as a provision of eternal communion with God, its fruit freely offered before the fall brought separation and death. When sin entered the world access to this tree was barred by divine judgment, yet the promise of restoration echoes through the scriptures until it reappears in the new Jerusalem where its leaves bring healing to the nations. Those who overcome through faith in Christ receive the right to partake once more, signifying the full recovery of eternal life that was lost in the beginning and secured by the redemptive work of the Lamb.
