What Does 2 Corinthians 12:10 Mean?
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christโs sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
What It Means
Paul is saying he finds real joy even in weakness, criticism, hardships, attacks, and stress because these come from following Jesus. They remind him he cannot manage life on his own, so he leans harder on Godโs strength, which works best when he stops trying to be self-sufficient. This matters every day because when you feel overwhelmed or inadequate, it frees you to stop pretending you have it all together and instead ask God for help, which brings peace and steady strength right in the middle of the mess.
