What Does Colossians 3:13 Mean?
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
What It Means
This verse calls us to stay patient with one another and to release offenses when someone hurts or irritates us. We do this by remembering how completely and freely Christ has already forgiven us, even when we did not deserve it.
Putting this into practice each day keeps small conflicts from growing into lasting bitterness, helps our relationships stay healthy, and brings real peace to our homes and work.
