What Does Habakkuk 2:4 Mean?
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
What It Means
God points out that a proud heart full of self-reliance is not right with Him, but those who are truly right with God live each day by trusting Him instead. This means our daily choices, worries, and plans work best when we lean on God's faithfulness rather than our own strength or cleverness. In practice it brings peace, because we can hand over what we cannot control and keep moving forward with quiet confidence.
