What Does Hebrews 13:5 Mean?
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
What It Means
This verse is telling us to stop living with a greedy, always-wanting-more attitude and instead be genuinely content with what we already have. The reason we can do that is because God has promised Heโll never leave us or abandon us-His steady presence is meant to be our security, not our stuff.
In everyday life, this frees us from the exhausting chase of comparison, bigger paychecks, or the next purchase, letting us enjoy whatโs right in front of us with a lighter, more grateful heart.
