What Does Philippians 1:6 Mean?

6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

What It Means

This verse means God started a real change in your life through faith in Jesus, and He promises to keep working on it, shaping you and helping you grow until Jesus returns. It matters because it takes the pressure off you to have everything figured out or fixed right now. In daily life that looks like trusting God with your slow progress, staying open to His help, and not quitting on yourself when things feel unfinished.
