What Does Proverbs 28:13 Mean?

13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

What It Means

Trying to hide or ignore your mistakes will only keep you stuck and block the good things God wants for you. But when you honestly admit your wrongs and choose to turn away from them, you receive mercy, forgiveness, and a fresh start. This matters in daily life because quick honesty in your relationships and personal habits builds trust, eases guilt, and lets you grow instead of carrying hidden burdens.
