Healing the Nobleman's Son
Jesus healed a dying boy from a distance with only a word - and the father learned his son recovered at the exact hour Jesus spoke.
A royal official from Capernaum traveled to Cana and begged Jesus to come heal his dying son. Jesus did not go with him but simply said, 'Go thy way; thy son liveth,' and the man believed and departed. On the road home his servants met him with news that the boy had recovered - at the very hour Jesus had spoken. This 'second sign' in John's Gospel demonstrates Jesus' power to heal from a distance by his word alone, and it brought the official's whole household to faith.
