The Lily of the Field

Illustration of The Lily of the Field

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus pointed to the lilies of the field to teach freedom from anxiety: they neither toil nor spin, yet 'Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.' If God so clothes the grass that is here today and gone tomorrow, how much more will he care for his children. The wildflower became a lesson in trusting the Father's provision.
