Obedience

Obedience in the Bible refers to the call to follow God's commands as an expression of love and trust in His wisdom. This theme appears throughout Scripture, beginning with Adam and Eve's failure in Eden that introduced sin and separation, contrasted by Abraham's faithful compliance and Israel's covenant obligations at Sinai that promised blessing for adherence. Jesus Christ ultimately fulfilled the theme through his sinless submission to the Father, enabling believers under the new covenant to obey through the Spirit rather than mere external law. Its significance rests in sustaining relationship with God and revealing genuine faith across both Testaments.
