What Does Matthew 6:34 Mean?

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

What It Means

This verse is Jesus gently telling us not to spend today worrying about tomorrow, because each day already carries enough challenges of its own. The future will bring its own needs, but we donโ€™t have to carry them ahead of time.

In daily life, it means focusing on whatโ€™s right in front of you-todayโ€™s work, relationships, and responsibilities-while trusting God to meet tomorrow when it arrives. This brings real peace by cutting down on anxiety and helping you stay present and faithful one day at a time.
