Jotham
Jotham was a king of Judah, son of Uzziah, who took the throne while his father lived as a leper. Scripture commends him as one who did right in the sight of the LORD, becoming mighty because he prepared his ways before God. He built the upper gate of the temple, fortified cities, and subdued the Ammonites, reigning faithfully though the people continued in corrupt practices.

Did You Know?
Jotham is one of the few kings of whom Scripture records almost nothing negative; he 'became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God' (2 Chronicles 27:6).
He effectively co-reigned while his father Uzziah lived in isolation as a leper, giving Judah a rare period of stable, godly administration.
Jotham built the Upper Gate of the temple and fortified cities and towers, and his subjugation of the Ammonites brought years of heavy tribute in silver, wheat, and barley (2 Chronicles 27:5).
