Paul's Vision at Corinth
In a hostile city, the Lord spoke to Paul by night: 'Be not afraid, but speak... for I have much people in this city.' Paul stayed and taught for a year and a half.
In Corinth Paul faced fierce opposition from the synagogue and had moved his preaching to the house of Justus next door. One night the Lord spoke to him in a vision: 'Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.' Encouraged, Paul stayed a year and six months teaching the word of God among them. When the Jews later brought him before the proconsul Gallio, the case was thrown out, just as the Lord had promised that no one would harm him.
