What Does John 14:13 Mean?

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

What It Means

Jesus promises that when you pray and ask for things while depending on His authority and aligning with His heart, He will step in and make it happen. The goal is always to show how good and powerful God the Father is through what Jesus does.

This matters for daily life because it gives you a simple, confident way to bring your needs, worries, and hopes to Jesus instead of carrying them alone, and it gently nudges you to pray in ways that reflect His love so your life points others toward God too.
