What Does John 16:33 Mean?

33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

What It Means

Jesus is saying that His words are meant to give you real peace by staying close to Him, even though life will definitely bring stress, pain, and hard times. The good news is that He's already won the ultimate victory over all of it, so you don't have to be crushed by fear or despair.

For daily life, this means you can face work stress, relationship struggles, or anxiety with quiet confidence-leaning on Him instead of trying to fix everything yourself.
