What Does Romans 5:8 Mean?
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
What It Means
God showed His love for us in the most powerful way possible: by sending Jesus to die on the cross while we were still stuck in our sin and rebellion, not after we got our act together.
This means His love isnโt earned or deserved-itโs given freely at our worst. In everyday life, it frees you from the pressure to perform or clean yourself up first, giving you steady confidence that youโre deeply loved and the grace to offer that same kindness to others when they fail.
