The Angel Beside Paul in the Storm
After days of storm with all hope gone, an angel stood beside Paul in the night: 'Fear not... God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.' Every life on board was saved.
Caught in a violent storm on the way to Rome, the ship carrying Paul had been driven for many days without sight of sun or stars, and all hope of being saved was taken away. After long abstinence, Paul stood up among the crew and passengers and told them to be of good cheer. That night, he said, the angel of God, whose he was and whom he served, had stood by him and said, 'Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.' Paul declared, 'I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me,' and warned that they would be cast on an island. The ship was wrecked on Malta, and all two hundred and seventy-six people on board reached land safely.
