I am single and lonely - will God ever give me a spouse

The loneliness of unwanted singleness is real, and the Bible does not mock it - 'It is not good that the man should be alone' (Genesis 2:18) is God's own assessment. Scripture gives no promise that every believer will marry, and it would be dishonest to claim otherwise; but it does promise that God is present, good, and attentive to your desire: 'Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart' (Psalm 37:4), and 'no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly' (Psalm 84:11).

Paul treats singleness not as a waiting room but as a season of unique freedom for God (1 Corinthians 7:32). Practically: stay rooted in real community rather than isolation (Psalm 68:6 - 'God setteth the solitary in families'), keep living fully now instead of postponing life until marriage, and keep asking - persistence in prayer is commanded, not discouraged (Luke 18:1).

Your unmarried years are not leftover time to God.
