Infertility - we cannot have children and I am angry and grieving
Scripture is full of women and men who carried this exact grief - Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel ('Give me children, or else I die', Genesis 30:1), Hannah, and Elisabeth - and it never once treats their pain as small or their faith as defective. Hannah wept bitterly, refused easy comfort, and poured out her soul to God (1 Samuel 1:10,15) - and Scripture honors her for it. Infertility is not a punishment from God, and the Bible explicitly breaks the assumption that suffering means secret sin (John 9:2-3).
Grieve honestly, together, and out loud to God - he can carry your anger (Psalm 62:8 - 'pour out your heart before him'). Be gentle with each other; this grief often lands differently on each spouse. And whatever the road ahead holds - treatment, adoption, or a different life than you planned - God's love for you is not measured in children, and your family's worth is not either.
