Smoking cigarettes, vaping, and the body as a temple
Scripture does not mention cigarettes or vaping, but it does teach that the believer's body is 'the temple of the Holy Ghost' and 'ye are not your own' (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and calls believers to offer their bodies as 'a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God' (Romans 12:1).
This does not settle every specific question with a verse, but it gives a clear framework: whatever knowingly and repeatedly harms the body, or becomes something you cannot control, is worth bringing honestly before God (1 Corinthians 6:12, 'I will not be brought under the power of any').
Conviction here differs between believers, and grace, not shame, is the starting point (Romans 8:1) - but stewardship of the body honors the God who made it.
