What Does Genesis 50:20 Mean?
20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
What It Means
Joseph is speaking to his brothers who once sold him into slavery out of jealousy. He points out that while they meant to hurt him, God turned the whole situation around to save many lives during a famine.
This matters because it shows how God can use even painful or unfair events in our lives for good, helping us forgive others and trust Him when things go wrong.
