What Does Isaiah 43:2 Mean?
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
What It Means
God promises that when you're going through overwhelming troubles-like deep waters or raging fire-He will be right there with you, and those trials won't destroy or consume you. It's a picture of His protective presence carrying you through life's hardest seasons without letting them have the final say. This matters because it gives real comfort on tough days: you don't have to face anxiety, loss, or stress alone, and you can trust that God will see you through without letting it break you.
