What Does Isaiah 53:5 Mean?
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
What It Means
This verse describes how Jesus willingly took the punishment for our sins and failures so we could have peace with God and be made whole. He was wounded and beaten not for his own wrongs, but for ours, so that his suffering could bring us healing and forgiveness.
In daily life, it means you donโt have to carry the weight of guilt or try to earn your way back to God-his love has already made a way for you to live free, forgiven, and at peace, even on your hardest days.
