Crystals and energy healing
Practices built around crystals, chakras, or manipulating spiritual 'energy' for healing or protection are not named in the Bible, but they touch the same principle behind many ancient practices Scripture warns against - seeking power, healing, or protection from a source other than God: 'There shall not be found among you any... that useth divination... or a charmer' (Deuteronomy 18:10-11).
Scripture instead directs believers to God as the source of healing and protection: 'I am the LORD that healeth thee' (Exodus 15:26), and 'is any sick among you? let him... pray over him' (James 5:14-15).
This does not mean every physical object is spiritually dangerous, but where a practice attributes healing power or protective energy to an object or ritual apart from God, it substitutes something else for the trust and prayer Scripture calls for (Philippians 4:6-7). If you are drawn to these practices out of a desire for peace or healing, bring that desire honestly to God, who invites you to cast all your care on him (1 Peter 5:7).
