What Does Isaiah 53:3 Mean?

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

What It Means

This verse describes how Jesus faced rejection and deep pain during his life on earth. People turned away from him in his suffering and did not value who he was.

It matters because it shows Jesus truly understands loneliness, hurt, and being overlooked. When you feel rejected or weighed down, you can bring those feelings to him knowing he gets it and offers steady comfort right in the middle of your day.
